The house has a large vestibule which has ample hanging/storage space for coats/shoes/boots, skis etc.

The spacious main hall provides access to the ground floor rooms and staircase to the upper floor.

The spacious drying/boot room with sink has a washing machine, pulley and clothes rack for drying.

One of the standout features of our house is the very spacious, bright and sunny, open-plan kitchen, diner and living areas - 3 large, separate, but very much connected, zones. With extensive floor to ceiling windows, guests can enjoy fabulous views of the surrounding woodland and hills beyond the river Ardle wherever they happen to be.

The living space looks out onto the garden. There are 2 large sofas, a ‘love’ chair and 2 easy chairs. There is a smart TV (including freesat TV), wood-burning stove, and, for musicians, the grand piano provides an added attraction.

The open-plan kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, double oven, microwave, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a large kitchen island and breakfast bar. Appliances include double air fryer, blender, Nespresso vertuo and original machines (as well as filter and french press) and hand mixer for baking enthusiasts!

With its large dining table seating up to 12, the dining area will accommodate large family gatherings/celebrations or group get-togethers at the end of the day.

 A separate smaller living room with football table, board games and a smart TV with L shaped sofa provides additional space for kids, in particular, to make use of.  This room also has a double sofa bed and is adjacent to the downstairs shower room for additional flexible sleeping accommodation.

Glenardle Lodge accommodates 10 adults in 5 /6 bedrooms and 4 bath/shower rooms. There are 5 double bedrooms (4 king size double beds, one super king), 2 of which are en suite and there is an additional family bathroom with separate shower cubicle. On the ground floor there is an additional 'snug' living room with double sofa bed if needed, with shower room adjacent.  (|Please  enquire about accessibility and whether this room would be suitable for your needs.) One of the rooms with en suite facilities has a 'zip and link' bed, giving the option of twin or super king. 

Luxury linen and towels are all included in the rental cost. We have travel cots and a high chair available on request.

Glenardle Lodge has a large, peaceful and fully enclosed mature garden, which incorporates lawned areas and woodland with many large pine trees. Red squirrels, as well as many species of birds and other wildlife, can be seen in the garden. There is a large south facing terrace, with garden furniture and Weber charcoal BBQ. There is a 6 person hot tub on the south facing terrace, close to the house.

There is ample parking for several cars within the drive.

There is wi-fi access.

The house is a non-smoking house.

We will accept 1-2 well-behaved dogs for an additional fee.
