The house opens into a large vestibule with ample hanging and storage space for coats, shoes, boots and outdoor gear, including skis. A spacious main hall leads to the ground floor rooms and staircase to the upper floor, creating a welcoming and practical entrance to the house.

A dedicated utility and drying room provides excellent facilities for longer stays and outdoor holidays. This includes:

One of the standout features of Glenardle Lodge is the exceptionally spacious and light-filled open-plan living area, designed as three distinct yet connected zones: kitchen, dining and living.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows run through this space, allowing guests to enjoy expansive views across the surrounding woodland and hills beyond the River Ardle from every area of the room.

The living area looks out onto the garden and is comfortably furnished with:

• A love chair and two easy chairs

For guests with musical interests, the grand piano adds a unique and much-loved feature to the space.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for group catering and longer stays, with:

• Large kitchen island and breakfast bar

Appliances include a double air fryer, blender, hand mixer, and both Nespresso Vertuo and Original machines, as well as filter coffee and French press options.

The dining area features a large table seating up to 12 guests, making it ideal for family meals, group celebrations and relaxed evenings together.

Snug / Additional Living Space

A separate snug provides additional flexible living space, particularly popular with children and teenagers. This room includes:

• Board games

The snug also contains a double sofa bed and sits next to a ground-floor shower room, offering flexible additional sleeping accommodation if required.

Glenardle Lodge comfortably accommodates up to 10 adults across five main bedrooms, with additional flexibility if required.

• Two bedrooms are en suite

• Additional family bathroom with separate shower cubicle

• Ground-floor shower room adjacent to the snug

One en-suite bedroom features a zip-and-link bed, allowing it to be arranged as either a super king or twin on request.

High-quality linen and towels are included in the rental cost.

Travel cots and a high chair are available on request.

 

Outdoor Space & Hot Tub

 Glenardle Lodge is set within a large, peaceful and fully enclosed mature garden, incorporating lawned areas and woodland with mature pine trees. Guests often enjoy spotting red squirrels, birds and other wildlife in the garden.

A large south-facing terrace close to the house includes:

• Outdoor seating

• Weber charcoal BBQ

• Six-person hot tub, ideal for relaxing during the day or under the stars at night

There is ample private parking available for several cars within the drive.
